I have undergone a drastic change in housemates since I got back to Malaysia. From staying with 2 girls who at most times stay in their rooms, minding their own business, and come out mostly to hunt for edible goodies to a nagging older woman and man, an irritating younger boy constantly running around and screaming at a constantly-borrowing-my clothes younger girl. Well, in other words, from Gracie and Anne to Mummy, Daddy, Younger Brother and Younger Sister. This change is not at all bad, in fact, I missed it very much while I was away. I mean, now all I have to do is go downstairs and dinner is already ready on the table!!! A little luxury I missed for 10 months. Alongside many others...But despite this good change, it's still different. True enough, I may not miss having to cook and tend a home but I do indeed miss the people whom I spent most of my time with in the past 10 months. Especially since it would never be us THREE again.
Sure, we all did have our queries about staying with each other in the beginning of the year, but the decision to take the chance and stay together was all worth while. Afterall, we are all still alive and well aren't we? That alone is an achievement, I reckon:D Though there was this one time when we had such a big fight that poor Gracie ended up like this:
Thanks to you girls for everything. Especially for putting up with my many idiosyncrasies.
The times you cooked porridge and chicken soup for me and provided me with medication when I fell sick. Hearing me complain non-stop. Putting up with my rare but intense foul moods as well as my commanding and bossy nature. Staying up late at night just chatting about nothing at all and doing stupid times randomly, making stressed and difficult times a lot easier to bear. Buying me little gifts out of the blue. Offering to pay for my meals when I go absolutely broke. Sharing meals with me so I don't overeat and grow even fatter. Giving me fashion advice when I need it.. Telling me things I need to hear at appropriate times...
LOVE YOU GIRLS!!
ANNE, I really am going to miss having you as a roomate. I never imagined that we would get along so well. Getting to know each other better has been hell at times but mostly great fun. Agreed??:) Wish that you could be here with us, and am missing you. Will see you in 2 months!
Manda! Be warned now! Know what you are getting yourself into or not?? Hehe.. It's going to be an interesting year................. (0) comments
Thursday, December 07, 2006 > It's Finally My Turn....
In exactly 48 hours, MH 138 would be on it's way to Malaysia carrying ME in it!!!! I can't wait! People always tell me how it is easier to continue staying in Australia with each passing year, and I guess that is true to a certain extent lah.. I mean, staying back one month later as compared to last year does prove it, I guess. However, I was starting to feel it when I saw my friends disappear one by one by one. But it is FINALLY down to 48 hours!!!:)Malaysia will always be number ONE for me. There are a few little things that always remind me of that fact.
LIKE NOW, when I only have 48 more hours but feel as though I have to wait a lifetime. As well as feeling this boucy bubble of excitement in my tummy (though that could be the salty crabs we had last night at midnight).
ALSO, the many times i smile to myself when I hear my fellow kind around the city speaking in the same ah-pek accent, just like me or seeing our Protons around Adelaide City.
OF COURSE, the fact that I would choose a plate of RM 3.50 Char Kuey Teow over a plate of $20 pasta ANY DAY.
LASTLY, I always always refer to Malaysia as HOME.........................
ooooooo.... It's so close, I can almost smell all that food:)
YES YES!!!
Gotta run now... I have to send this idiotic friend to Uni to hand up his assignment which is due in 45 minutes, just because he is lazy to take the bus.
Will see you guys in MALAYSIA real soon!!!!!!:) (0) comments
