Saturday, March 17, 2007 > Williams Avenue to Thomas Avenue
We have moved 2 streets down. But we have no internet. Same house phone number. But no internet. And I found out today that it takes 30 days to just terminate the internet and if lucky, another 2 weeks to connect it.
I think I may die.
"Hie, my name is Wing Sun and I am an internet addict."
Yes, I truly am. I will blog again and let all know that I am well and alive when we get our internet connected again.
On a side note, my workmate called me a "small asian girl" today. I can eat ALL the butter cookies I want!!!! (2) comments
Tuesday, March 13, 2007 > TV Influence
On a TV program, What's Good For You, they quoted:Eating before you sleep doesn't make you gain weight.
Since it is a What's Good For You programme, I am now sitting here eating butter cookies at 1.15 in the am. That statement had better be true or else I will be in deep trouble. Obviously I believe everything I hear on the TV. Or maybe this is just something I have waited so long to hear. God listens:)
Then again, they did also add on to the quote:
It's the total calories that is consumed in the day that determines weight gain.
Actually if like that ar, no difference already lah. Haih............ I am a lost case.
Maybe I should have thrown those mandarin oranges into the river on Chap Goh Meh. As quoted, "You need all the superstitious luck you need wei.. "
And yes, we moved about half of our stuff today. It was torturous. It actually makes me not want to shop anymore for the results make moving harder. Hahaha.. Who am I kidding. I vowed never to move in the next 50 years so at least I still can shop. So even though Gracie and Amanda move out, my future and planned already single forver housemates can move in. REMEMBER our plans made at Hartamas, my dear friends???? HAHAHAHAHAHA......
Ok.. I am starting to ramble. So, in the process of moving:
The butter cookies really look like they are making their way up to my face!!!! I really should have thrown those stupid oranges....

Sunday, March 04, 2007 > A Red Chap Goh Mei
Everyone knows how RED symbolizes prosper and luck for us Chinese people. I took this superstition to the next level in celebration of this festival. So instead of just dressing in all red and decorating my house with red thingies, I became RED.Yes, I AM red.
No exaggeration there. In trying to uphold and honour my traditions on a whole new level, I now suffer greatly. The constant feeling of burning heat and searing pain all along my legs and arms constrict all movement that I would normally do without a thought. The torture I have to endure had better produce some results. For this year, I am hoping that my prosper and luck would bring me:
1. Good results in Uni without having to put in much effort.
2. A tall, dark and handsome Prince Charming.
3. A tree growing in my garden that bears Aussie Dollars.
Oh man.. The heat is getting to me. Don't worry, I am not a superstitious nutcase.
Actual occurance: I wanted a tan badly. Went to Glenelg, sat on the beach for about 3 hours straight in the sun without any sunblock, though it was available. Sense my desperation? Other desperate friends also did the same. The sun felt good because the constant wind blowing was cool.
Results: I am as red as a lobster. Other friends are not suffering the same predicament. Probably due to their pigmentation.
Lesson learnt: Always apply sunblock no matter how desperate due to my low pigment count.

Friday, March 02, 2007 > Good times
Woke up just in time for lunch.Waiting for yesterday's fried rice to reheat.
Going to chinatown after to restock all our cupboards.
Cleaning up the house for Lifegroup later on.
Haih... Yes, it's back to the typical DIY, student life. Well, at least my student life this semester consists of only 2 classes a week. And with that comes a 5-day weekend. Bliss:)
Anyway, just some pictures from the days when I could wake up just in time for lunch everyday, go downstairs to find freshly cooked food just out of the wok, cupboards that are always filled and a house that is literally sparkling clean.
Mr. Tempangs. Now Unc. Mike can also join them
This is just about all the pictures I have. Ok.. Maybe this and a few more. Lost all passion for picture-taking. I believe quite a number people have pictures I want. Please send them to me! I am deprived of them, as you can see.
Off to chinatown!!!!! (1) comments
