"I came this close to seeing cute firemen up close today. *shucks*"
However, I am really glad we (Anne, Grace and myself) didn't have the opportunity to the above privilege. No matter how good-looking the firemen could have been.
Haih... Yes... We did almost burn our house down. We left a pot full of barley boiling on the stove for almost 4 hours while we oh-so-jolly-ly went out. It was so bad that we smelt it the instant we were outside the house, 4 hours too late. I thought the neighbours were having toast at 10.30 in the pm. Thank God there was so much water in the pot, it was enough to continue drying up and only end up burning the pot. And the barley. BROWN, BURNT BARLEY it became...
Now, the whole house is infested with so much smoke, we have left everything open so we could obtain the bare minimum of oxygen to survive. Anne used almost the whole can of Glade air freshener to try diminish the smell. Hair and clothes, however, still smell bad.....
But I shan't complain, I rather smell of smoke than have the house in the form of ashes.........
