I decided to be a sinner and leave this Uni conference early today. Since I handed in all my assignments today, I decided to reward myself with a little shopping escapade at Rundle Mall. Little did I know that this shopping trip would be so interesting.I mean, other than me being able to buy a Nine West bag that was on sale, GUESS WHO I MET? This someone made Marko and David pull all their hair out after they found out that they missed him by probably just half an hour. It was just a little too bad I realised why all the shop attendants were all "Oh My Gosh-ing" too late. By the time I got to him, he was taking his last picture before this lady pulled him away.
He was heading my direction and I was just standing there like an idiot. Oh well, an idiot that was in the way of where they were going and thus, was so close to him that I could see all the stubbles around his chin..... Aaahhh.....
I went back into the shop where I had abandoned a dress I intended on trying, but after a second's thought, put it back down again and decided to continue being an idiot and follow them to where they were. It was this alley between ANZ bank and David Jones. To my right, in another separate alley, I saw this red vintage car with him sitting up and waving. The total of people that were there excluding those in the car with him was like THREE. Looks like no one in Rundle Mall wanted to be an idiot like me. Being an idiot today paid off:)
It's him!
The Guns I FEARED.....
It's her!!!!
He looked exactly like this in real life, perhaps a little taller and thinner than I expected but the whole black leather jacket and sunglasses thing was present. And a cowboy hat. I wanted to be the ultimate idiot and actually go up to him and take a picture but I was afraid they might shoot me. No matter how famous, Bono will not at all be worth a premature death.
The Guns I FEARED.....
Oh well, it's not like I am the biggest fan of U2, but at least I can now actually say that I was less than 3 feet away from Bono. Reminded me of the time when Micheal Jackson was in One Utama but I had no idea. I remember rushing in there with my sister to grab something when I heard this crowd of people going crazy a level above us. Micheal Jackson songs were also blasting on the sound system. At that time, I jokingly said to my sister, "Maybe it's Micheal Jackson up there." Well, I discovered I was right after watching the news that night. So near, yet so far... Though I am not a great fan of his, just being able to say, " I met Micheal Jackson before!" provides me with a certain amount of cheap thrill:) However, I would be able to say something similar after today!! Hahaha.... Even though I didn't get to capture a single decent picture.
Oh well, who needs all these famous people when I already have GREAT people in my midst. And NO, I am not trying to console myself for my lack of guts and camera taking skills.
It is AUNTY CHEWY'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is definitely cooler than Bono....
